I am Debra and I am a volunteer for the youth exchange program.
And I just want to start with thank you and the entire council
for coming to us here tonight.
The ambassadors who just returned two days ago
from their care to the folks who have not,
or are not going to be brief, but give you
on the program and then from the ambassadors who went.
So, the Intercities International was developed
in 1980 by President Eisenhower.
He keeps this program with the intent
for exchange from people involved in short fields.
Our local Intercities International ends in 1987.

And I think it was his connection with him
and his down-to-earth, you know.
This is amazing because the chaperone, all these experiences
of living with a hoof, to me, that was, I was terrified.
It was the best experience.
Because I really learned that we're all
similar, and it doesn't really matter when we have the same issues with our teenagers.
Really fun to talk to.
My host family is the English teacher I stayed with.
Oh, she just was, it was a great experience.
So at this point I'm going to introduce the group that went to the library, and they're
going to share a little bit of that with the parents.

or strangers who gave the people of Italy
through fear and kindness.
Feeling kindness and openness, connections and friendship,
