General Plan Kick-Off Presentation and Discussion The Community Development Department and Alta Planning + Design will provide a presentation with an overview of the General Plan update process and gather Commissioner feedback on key issues and community priorities within each Commission’s area of expertise. TO PROVIDE COMMENTS BY MAIL, E-MAIL, OR IN-PERSON: • MAILING OR E-MAIL OPTION Members of the public are welcome to submit written comments by U.S. mail (City of Walnut Creek, Attn: Planning Commission, 1666 North Main Street, Walnut Creek, CA 94596) during regular business hours, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., or via email to PublicComments@walnut-creek.org prior or during the meeting. Written Comments received at least two (2) hours prior to the scheduled start time of the Commission meeting will be provided to the Commission and posted to the City website as part of the official record of the meeting. The written comment cut-off time for this meeting is 4:00 p.m. given the 6:00 p.m. start time. Written Comments received within two (2) hours of the scheduled start time of the Commission meeting and during the Commission meeting will be provided to the Commission the day following the Commission meeting. If you are submitting written comments on a particular item on the agenda, please identify the agenda item number and letter. If you are submitting written comments on an item NOT listed on the agenda, please identify your e-mail/comment as a General Public Comment. • IN-PERSON PUBLIC COMMENTS OPTION Members of the public can provide in-person comments at the lectern in the Third Floor Conference Room located at 1666 North Main Street, Walnut Creek, CA 94596. The Third Floor Conference Room will have seating available for members of the public to attend in-person up to full capacity. Public comments are limited to two (2) minutes per speaker, unless a different time is announced by the Chair. Speaker Identification cards are available in the Third Floor Conference Room. The agenda and minutes with links to staff reports are available on the City’s website: www.walnutcreekca.gov (select "Public Meetings" from the Quick Links listing on the right) Regular Planning Commission meetings are broadcast live on Comcast Channel 28 (incorporated Walnut Creek only,) Channel 26 in Rossmoor, Astound Channel 31, and AT&T U-verse Channel 99. Meetings are also streamed live on the City’s website and YouTube channel, and archived for on-demand viewing from the City’s website (see link above) and YouTube channel. Information for the public on participation at Commission meetings, including time limits for addressing the Commission, can be found on the back of the Speaker Identification Card located near the Council Chamber entrance. Should you have any questions after consulting the Speaker Identification card, please contact the City Clerk prior to the Commission meeting. Materials related to any item on this agenda submitted to the Planning Commission after distribution of the agenda packet are available for public inspection at the Second Floor Permit Center, City Hall, at 1666 N. Main St., Walnut Creek, CA during normal business hours, and placed with the agenda at the back of the Council Chamber prior to the start of the meeting.
